Hace 2 días · About 2.5 hours of imaging on the nebula M8 with my tiny 23mm aperture Dwarf2 smart telescope mounted on a camera tripod in rough polar alignment. 600 x 15sec images, gain=80, IR cut filter out. Images and darks (no flats) processed with, and stars diminished using Siril. Image noise reduced with GraXpert 3.0.
Hace 1 día · Watch one night. sh: This infra-red image from NASA’s WISE (Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer) features one of the bright stars in the constellation Perseus, named Menkhib (the bright star in the upper left near the red dust cloud) along with a large star forming cloud catalogued as NGC 1499, or more commonly called the California Nebula (running diagonally through the image).

Winners of the Nebulas will be announced at the Nebula Conference in California, 8-9 June. I've been reading the shortlist for Best Novel.
