Michael Cartellone (born June 7, 1962) is an American musician and artist. He was a founding member of Damn Yankees and is the current drummer of Lynyrd Skynyrd since 1999.

With the major success of their first album, the band traveled around the world as one of the most spectacular rock shows to date. With time off from touring, Michael moved to Nashville and began doing session work, which led to a gig with Suzy Boggus.
During this time, Cartellone took over as drummer for the German metal band Accept. In 1999, he became the full-time drummer for legendary Southern rock outfit Lynyrd Skynyrd. Looking back through Michael Cartellone as a drummer is like looking at a who’s who of classic-rock history.

Music and Art would be a simultaneous learning adventure throughout his childhood. Michael's professional music career began at the age of 11, when he played his first bar.
