She and her husband Marv Ross founded the rock band in 1980 in Portland, Oregon. She was the bands lead vocalist, playing the saxophone while her husband plays the guitar.

With four top-forty hits, including their top five single 'Harden My Heart', Quarterflash went platinum in the U.S. and Canada, and the Rosses went on to record three more Quarterflash CDs.
