Born on May 14, 1945, Richard Salwitz is better known by his stage name, Magic Dick. The New London, CT native attended WPI, where he met John Geils and Danny Klein . The three would found the J. Geils Band in 1965, and Magic Dick would become a maestro on the harmonica.
