Martin Carthy and Dave Swarbrick rewrote it with new lyrics sharing the tune, chorus and first verse with the older version, as The Begging Song for their 1990 live album Life and Limb .

This recording was included in the EFDSS sponsored cassette, The Holme Valley Tradition: Will’s Barn , and in 2004 on the Watersons’ 4CD anthology Mighty River of Song .
