From Indelibly Stamped, 1971 Listen to it here. A very short track, there's not much to talk about here, but it does bring a smile to my face whenever I hear it. It's to "Aries" what "Casual Conversations" is to "Child Of Vision", in my view.

When the first album was recorded, the situation among the band's personnel was really bad. All the vans and cars they had broke down one after another. In the end the guitarist and the drummer left the group.
1 de may. de 2024 · "Indelibly stamped" was a definite move forward, with Davies taking the mike on some of his own songs, setting up the contrast between his down-to-earth bluesy style and the wistful, melodic, spiritual-seeker approach of Hodgson (who had recently switched from bass to guitar).
9 de may. de 2024 · Supertramp’s first two albums – the self-titled debut (1970) and Indelibly Stamped (1971) – bombed commercially, so it wasn’t an issue; but by the time of 1974’s breakthrough set Crime Of The Century, it perhaps started to rankle that Hodgson was pulling more weight than anyone else.
Supertramp's reputation during the early 70s wasn't that high: even the producer for their breakthrough album, Ken Scott, didn't want to work with them originally. The band's earlier attempt at a breakthrough with 1974' Indelibly Stamped, backfired, as the album jumped around in styles a lot.
6 de may. de 2024 · Davies tritt auf "Indelibly Stamped" auch erstmals als Sänger in Aktion. Das interessanteste Stück folgt zum Schluss: "Aries", ein größtenteils akustisches Stück, ist über einer simplen Rhythmusgitarre aufgebaut, dazu kommen wilde Improvisationen von Flöte und E-Piano.
