Hace 4 días · “People were playing three-finger style banjo before him, but no one did what he did — he invented a whole new style of playing,” Trischka said. When the “Father of Bluegrass” Bill Monroe was searching for a new sound in the 1920s and 1930s — this blend of Dixieland jazz, blues and roots music — he was slowly creating what would eventually be known as bluegrass in the 1940s.
