Hace 4 días · In 1977 two albums, A Real Mother For Ya and Funk Beyond The Call Of Duty, solidified Watson’s position as the “original gangster”, a reference to one of his most successful early records, Gangster Of Love. These albums are laden with tight funk grooves accentuated by brass stabs. The lyrics are light hearted and humorous at times.
