25 de may. de 2024 · Alex does a good job of singing “Everything I Am”, but Dan Penn is guilty of that common 1960s producers’ practice of placing one of his own songs on an album he was producing. He and Spooner Oldham wrote some great songs, I wish one of them had been on the album instead of this one.

25 de may. de 2024 · Although I've always found the Box Tops catalog to be a slightly disappointing mixed bag, this is a song that works very well. I got on the Chilton train around 1997, and had never heard this prior to the deep dive into Alex's discography.
