Hace 6 días · Ealing college of higher education derived from art classes held from c. 1884 and science classes added by 1895. At first they took place at Ealing free library, by 1901 at the Hall, Ealing Green, and from 1913 at Ealing county school for boys.
Hace 1 día · After Acton County, Townshend attended Ealing Art College, a move he later described as profoundly influential on the course of The Who. Daltrey, who was in the year above, had moved to Acton from Shepherd's Bush, a more working-class area. He had trouble fitting in at the school, and discovered gangs and rock and roll.

He ultimately chose to study graphic design at Ealing Art College, enrolling in 1961. At Ealing, Townshend studied alongside future Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood.

1 de may. de 2024 · He gained an A-level in Art and went on to study fashion design at Ealing Art College. Barely a year in to the course however (of which there were only 2 men out of 32 students on the course!) he switched to studying graphic design. It was this switch in course that led him to meet a friend of a friend, Brian May.
