  3. Also fiddling John Carson gets singled out extra hard because he was also a very ardent KKK member and believed all this shit to his core. Lots of other fiddle players in the 1920s recorded tunes with offensive titles and lyrics but they weren't (publicly) on the same level of true believer as that guy.
