5 de may. de 2024 · While still in high school, Adams and Pineda began performing at clubs in East Los Angeles and eventually formed the socially conscious rap group Atban Klann and three others. Their group caught the attention of rapper Eazy-E and music executive Mason Miller, leading to a contract with Ruthless Records in 1992.

Will 1X (aka will.i.am), apl.de.ap, Mookie Mook, DJ Motiv8 (aka Monroe Walker), and Dante Santiago formed Atban Klann. Their debut album, Grass Roots, was never released due to Ruthless Records founder Eazy-E's death.
