10 de may. de 2024 · After the commercial failure of his first Warner Bros. album 'Astral Weeks' in 1968, Van Morrison moved to upstate New York with his wife and began writing songs for the follow-up album 'Moondance', attempting to produce a record that would be more accessible and appealing to listeners.
Hace 5 días · After touring the U.S. with the band, producer Burt Berns convinced Morrison to start a solo career, debuting with 1968’s “Astral Weeks”, in which he worked with bassist Richard Davis and drummer Connie Kay. 1970’s full-length Moondance made it to the top 40 with singles like “Into the Mystic” and “Caravan”.
