Animal Soup is an album by Simon Townshend, the younger brother of The Who 's guitarist Pete Townshend. The album was released in March 1999 and features Ben Townshend, Phil Spalding, James Hayto, Tony Lowe, Linz King among others.
This is the latest release of material from Simon Townshend! It is a brilliant collection of songs that demonstrate his passionate and powerful abilities as both performer and songsmith. Fans of Simon's will recognize a few tunes from some of his live shows (Highness, I'm Alright, No Angel) as well as a blast from the past (I'm The Answer).

Later that year, Simon and Zak, along with a few others from Daltrey's tour band, form the group ANIMAL SOUP. The band records a number of tracks for an album (many of which would later re-surface to be tackled by Simon with stb). 1995. Animal Soup are still recording and giging about London during the early spring of this year.
