Hace 4 días · It is interesting how far Alvin Lucier was ahead of the curve and how long it took compositional strategies to match the abstract nature of Alvin’s work precisely. Sure, Alvin did manage to lead a motley crew of chipmunks to sing inane pop ditties, but that was about as far as vocal studies could go in the 80s. The world was not ready.
