16 de may. de 2024 · As the band continued to write and perform, they quickly followed Gangstabilly with another studio album Pizza Deliverance and a live record titled Alabama Ass Whuppin’. Though Drive-By Truckers tickets was popular among the group’s many fans before 2005, the year saw the addition of singer/songwriter Jason Isbell to the group.

19 de may. de 2024 · After the release of their live album Alabama Ass Whuppin', Drive-By Truckers began recording what they hoped would be their magnum opus: Southern Rock Opera. According to Patterson Hood, "(the album) was recorded in Birmingham, upstairs in a uniform shop during an early September heat wave, with no air-conditioning.
