Hace 4 días · The 97 octane specs in 57 were the old type of octane rating which is probably pretty close to today's 91, the 57 I worked on ran fine at about 10 degrees base timing. Your issue needs futher checking, usually idle quality in respect to roughness is is not a factor unless there is a gross movement either retarded or advanced.
10 de may. de 2024 · I don't think they sell gas with that octane in Florida, so I'm using an octane booster to get it to 97. If I did find a station with that octane, it would be 6 bucks a gallon. 97 is beginner race fuel.
19 de may. de 2024 · The difference between 91 and 95 is just the octane rating. 97 has an even higher octane but I believe it is also pure gasoline with no added ethanol, hence the big jump in price.
9 de may. de 2024 · U.K. and EU based here - use E 5 and highest octane .Shell do a 99 but most others do a 98 , even used 97 when that’s the highest availability .It’s a carbed GT 4 from the 70 s .
