9 de may. de 2024 · These are the exact words posted on Elliott Smith’s message board by a fan, in October 2003, just a few days after his death. I had never talked to Robin, but, after many failed attempts and undelivered emailed, I got the occasion to exchange a few emails with him.
i love elliott so much. I’m listening to A Living Will and my brain decided to focus on the vocals and the backup vocals/vocalizations/harmonies just sound so much louder for some reason and it’s so beautiful i love him so much this is an amazing song. i have listened to this song millions of times and no joke i’ve been one of those ...
He struggled, he created beautiful art in spite of it, and then he died. Luckily we can get closer to him than any documentary ever could get us through his own words and melodies, that is how he wanted and strived be known for his entire life, and presumably, in death as well.
