Hace 4 días · Christ's College (fn. 1) is an enlargement of God's-house, instituted in 1439 by a London parish priest, William Byngham, for training grammar-school masters. (fn. 2) God's-house first stood in Milne Street, of which the north and south ends still exist as Trinity Hall Lane and Queens' Lane.

The walls generally are of clunch with lacing-courses of red brick but almost entirely refaced with Ketton stone ashlar; the roofs are covered with stone slates.
