Møller, 1876–1965) [8] 가 세운 '스벤보르 증기선사 (Dampskibsselskabet Svendborg)'가 모태이다. 7각별 로고는 1875년 라우라호 굴뚝에 붙인 것이 최초이며, 창업주의 아버지이자 독실한 기독교인이던 페테르 묄레르가 들려준 이야기를 토대로 디자인한 것이다. [9] 1차 세계대전 이전에 기선 업체로 시작하여 조선업 에도 진출하였으며, 2차 세계대전 이전인 1928년 에 정기 선박운항 업체로 발돋움했다.
