23 de oct. de 2015 · Mesa Top Ruins Road is the main road through Mesa Verde National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. It runs for about 21 miles from the visitor center to Chapin Mesa. The first half of Mesa Top Ruins Road has several steep inclines and hairpin turns as well as a short tunnel.
Direct access to the main archaeological sights is only available on Park Ranger-guided tours. Tickets must be purchased at the Mesa Verde Visitor and Research Center. Otherwise, plan on viewing the sights from overlooks.
The Mancos Valley Visitors Center is open April through October, Monday – Saturday, 10 AM-3 PM. We are closed November through March. Note that we are staffed by volunteers, so apologize if we miss you. Visitor information may be found in our kiosks in downtown (Grand & Main) and across from Cox Conoco.
