Según recuerda Far Out Magazine, el baterista había sido designado para cantar “With A Little Help From My Friends”, canción que se desprende del octavo LP de los de Liverpool, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, y que incluía una frase que no era del agrado de Ringo. Así lo contó en Anthology:
