4 de may. de 2024 · Sur cet album, c’est Patrick Moraz qui prend le relais. On retrouve ensuite en élément fondateur Chris Squire à la basse, Steve Howe à la guitare, Jon Anderson au chant et Alan White à la batterie, ce dernier étant arrivé sur l’album précédent, en remplacement de Bill Bruford.
4 de may. de 2024 · The songwriting is really solid and Patric Moraz showcases here IMHO the best keyboard playing in his entire career in terms of dexterity and proficiency; much much superior to his instrumental input on Relayer. Lee Jackson's no vocal chameleon and his distinctive voice and limited range wasn't really suited for every type of music.
10 de may. de 2024 · This lineup went on to release Going for the One (1977) and Tormato (1978), but only after Rick Wakeman was briefly replaced by Patrick Moraz (keyboards) for the album Relayer (1974). Both Rick Wakeman and Jon Anderson left the band in 1979, though each has appeared in later versions of the band, as has Tony Kaye.

Hace 4 días · The band's sound was a complex fusion of astral rock, jazz, classical music and Tibetan sounds, heavily keyboard-driven (Hammond, mellotron) and compared to the likes of ELOY, AMENOPHIS, and even URIAH HEEP, although most of their studio release consists of tracks that are similar in style but more reserved than any of those bands.

Wakeman was born on 18 May 1949 in Perivale, Middlesex.The only child of Cyril Frank Wakeman and Mildred Helen Wakeman (née Eastment), the three lived in Wood End Gardens in nearby Northolt. Cyril worked at a building suppliers, joining as an office boy at fourteen.He later became one of its directors. He was also a pianist in Ted Heath's big band while he was in the British Army.
