Phillips, and a few other bands (Restless, the Blue Cats second period, the Polecats…) influenced countless young cats to form their own bands. He made the link and kept rockabilly alive.

Polecats are an understudied and elusive carnivore in Britain, and by collecting records of polecat sightings we can build on our knowledge of current polecat distribution, hybridisation with ferrets, and threats faced.
