  5. Yes, you have to put up with a lot of military crap, but it was the most fun job I ever had. Got to see the world, play music for all kinds of people, and get paid for it. They do encourage music like this, writing and playing stuff beyond the basic “army band music”. I even arranged a few Rush songs for woodwind quintet.
