31 de may. de 2024 · Because of the anthropological approach, Playground Psychotics will be mostly of interest to fanatics who can stomach Flo & Eddie. While cramming several months of material into two CDs is no small feat, a larger context was certainly needed.
Hace 1 día · The former collected recordings by the early 1970s "Flo and Eddie" era Mothers, while the latter was a complete concert by the original Mothers at the Royal Festival Hall in 1968 (footage from which has been used in the Uncle Meat movie).
I'm a big fan of the Flo & Eddie era and their solo (or I guess duo) work they did later. But now I'm realising I kinda don't know which one is which. I'd always assumed Mark Volman did the lead vocals and he's the voice you hear on Just Another Band, Fillmore East, their solo work etc.
Flo & Eddie Talk To Frank Zappa 1989. I came across this on YouTube today. I highly suggest giving it a listen. Credit to tomtiddler1 for posting it. It's nice hearing this more casual and average guy side of Frank. I don't think I've heard this much laughter from Frank in a single interview. I hope you enjoy if you end up giving it a listen.
