Check out McVicar which is essentially a Who album. Check out John Entwistles solo album Too Late the Hero. Not the who, but Joe Walsh plays on it and it is excellent.

Hace 3 días · Townshend recorded several concert albums, including one featuring a supergroup he assembled called Deep End, with David Gilmour on guitar, who performed just three concerts and a television show session for The Tube, to raise money for his Double-O charity, supporting drug addicts.

He released several solo albums, including Empty Glass (1980), All the Best Cowboys Have Chinese Eyes (1982), White City: A Novel (1985), Pete Townshend’s Deep End Live! (1986), and The Iron Man: The Musical (1989).

Hace 6 días · A late-70s blitz of punk, personal problems and tragedy forced The Who’s Pete Townshend to reassess his life and career. One of the results was his solo masterpiece Empty Glass. In early 1977, Keith Moon took Pete Townshend to see Generation X at the Marquee Club. “It was my first punk concert,” Townshend recalled in 2019.
