SpreadsheetLight is an open source Open XML spreadsheet library for .NET Framework written in C#, and is released under the MIT License. You can create new Open XML spreadsheets, or work with existing Open XML spreadsheets that are compatible with Microsoft Excel 2007/2010/2013 and LibreOffice Calc. No Office/Excel Interop needed.

The design of SpreadsheetLight is action-oriented, rather than object-oriented. This is to mimic the user interface of Microsoft Excel (or other spreadsheet software with a visual user interface, such as LibreOffice Calc). A spreadsheet user performs actions on a spreadsheet, such as set a cell value or insert a picture.
