The Tubes are a San Francisco-based rock band.Their self-titled 1975 debut album included the single "White Punks on Dope", while their 1983 single "She's a Beauty" was a top-10 U.S. hit and its music video was frequently played in the early days of MTV.The band also performed in the 1980 film Xanadu, singing the rock portion of the cross-genre song "Dancin'" opposite a big band.
Now, for the first time ever, “Tubes – Live at German Television: The Musikladen Concert 1981” is available on DVD. Combining its satirical lyrics and lavish, off-color theatrics, the disc takes us back to the progressive beginnings of The Tubes.

20 de oct. de 2015 · I finally converted this to DVD and it is great to watch but to have the entire show soundtrack as presented here on CD #1 is fantastic. CD#2 is a show from 1981 where they were becoming more popular. The set from 1981 contains some great gems like TV Is King, Sports Fans, and Smoke. Nonetheless, fans of the TUBES should be happy to hear this.
