The Rt Revd Dr Jane Mainwaring was ordained as Bishop of Hertford in a special service in Canterbury Cathedral on Thursday 2 February, alongside two other new bishops. Bishop Jane was then welcomed into her new role in the Diocese of St Albans in a service of celebration at All Saints Hertford, on Saturday 4 February.

Bishop Jane has been Bishop of Hertford since February 2023. She served her curacy in Suffolk before moving to this diocese in 2003 to be a parish priest in Hitchin, in Hertfordshire. In 2015 she became a rural dean and then was appointed as Archdeacon of St Albans in 2020.
Mr Neil Osborn attended St Albans School from 1961 to 1968. After reading Modern History at Worcester College, Oxford, Neil became a successful international executive and private investor, focused on business-to-business publishing, financial services and sustainability-related businesses.
