The beach huts, are perfectly located close to the beach, with very easy access to other facilities such as the pier, cliff lift, surfing school, crazy golf, amusements, and a number of fish and chip restaurants. It’s a lovely mixed beach of pebbles and sand but might prove difficult to enjoy a day by the beach if the tide is in. When the tide is out you can walk across the beach on the sand and under the pier. Loads to do as there’s an arcade a mini golf, and loads of options for food and drinks! Read more. The very first Pleasure Pier constructed on the Yorkshire coast, Saltburn’s seafront dates all the way back to 1869.
3 de sept. de 2021 · Saltburn is also home to the Saltburn Miniature Railway, a 15-inch gauge railway that was established in 1947. Counting several locomotives, including Prince Charles, a 4-6-2 Pacific locomotive built-in 1950, the line runs from Cat Nab station, located by the beach, along the wooded valley beside Skelton Beck, through grassland before reaching Forest Halt station.
