7 de jun. de 2023 · Mike + The Mechanics freuen sich, bekannt geben zu können, dass Nic Collins bei ihrer bevorstehenden "Refuelled! Tour 2023" als Schlagzeuger der Band dabei sein wird, da Gary Wallis nicht zur Verfügung steht. Die Tour wird die Band von April bis Ende Mai durch Großbritannien führen und wurde soeben auch auf Deutschland ausgedehnt.

With Phil Collins forging a solo career of his own, Rutherford decided to start the side project, Mike & the Mechanics, in 1985, joined by Paul Carrack of Squeeze (vocals, keyboards), ex-Sad Cafe's Paul Young (vocals), Adrian Lee (keyboards) and Peter Van Hooke (drums).
