17 de sept. de 2023 · Nazareth is a Scottish hard rock band formed in Dunfermline in 1968 that had several hits in Canada, the United Kingdom, and a number of other European countries in the early 1970s. The breadth of their popularity expanded internationally, including in the USA, with their 1975 album Hair of the Dog, which featured their hits "Hair of the Dog" and a cover of the ballad "Love Hurts".
Nazareth ist eine im Jahr 1968 gegründete britische Hard-Rock-Band aus Dunfermline, Schottland. Gemeinsam mit Formationen der ersten Hardrock-Generation wie z. B. Led Zeppelin , Deep Purple , Uriah Heep und Black Sabbath war die Gruppe maßgeblich an der Prägung des Hard Rock beteiligt und legte auch einen Grundstein für den Jahre später aufkommenden Heavy Metal .

La storia della band inizia attorno al 1966, quando il cantante Dan McCafferty, il bassista Pete Agnew ed il batterista Darrell Sweet formarono una cover band, i The Shadettes, nella loro città Dunfermline, in Scozia.Dopo un paio di anni di attività nei pub della zona, la band si sciolse, o meglio aggiunse l'ex chitarrista dei "Mark Five" Manny Charlton e cambiarono nome in Nazareth.
