L’Iris de Fath, the rebirth of a myth. Jacques Fath’s Iris Gris is known as one of the greatest perfumes if not the greatest, unequalled since its creation. The balanced duo of Iris and Peach reflects perfumer Vincent Roubert’s exceptional know-how. Launched in 1947, it disappeared the same year as Fath in 1954.
The spirit of Jacques Fath is captured today within the contemporary design and emblematic codes of the ‘Fath’s Essentials Collection.’ Creative Director, Rania Naim, collaborated with independent perfumers Cécile Zarokian and Luca Maffei in 2016, and more recently with IFF master perfumer Jean-Christophe Hérault, to create the Fath’s Essentials Collection.
Jacques Fath (* 6. September 1912 in Maisons-Laffitte, Frankreich; † 13. November 1954 in Paris) war ein französischer Couturier und Gründer des gleichnamigen Unternehmens. Neben Christian Dior und Pierre Balmain gehörte er zu den einflussreichsten Talenten der Nachkriegszeit.
Jacques Fath died tragically young at the age of forty-two in 1954. With over six hundred employees, he left behind a fashion empire at the height of its success. In 1957, Geneviève Fath closed the clothing line after valiantly taking over the business. After 1992, a succession of companies acquired the Fath name as a perfume label.
