He was the key person in helping launch Marvel's Star Wars comics series in 1977, a title that began as an adaptation of a little-known science fiction movie that would become an ongoing book so important to Marvel that some think it helped the company avoid bankruptcy.

Howard's final Conan tale, as Conan and a female warrior get caught up in a dramatic struggle within an ancient walled off city.
