Richard Charles "Dick" Lewontin (Nova Iorque, 29 de março de 1929 – 4 de julho de 2021) foi um matemático, biólogo evolucionista, professor de Zoologia na Universidade de Harvard e um dos dos principais geneticistas do mundo.Lewontin é uma das principais vozes que combatem o racismo científico. [1] Ajudou a desenvolver as bases matemáticas da biologia populacional e teoria evolutiva.

In death, his long-time collaborator, Richard Levins, had preceded him in 2016 and Stephen Jay Gould, the third member of Harvard’s most distinguished triumvirate, had died in his relative youth, almost twenty years earlier in 2002.

It is hard to adequately articulate the vast extent of Lewontin’s influence on the ideological foundations and praxis of radical science that we pursue today.
