Charles Hard Townes (Greenville, 28 de julho de 1915 – 27 de janeiro de 2015) foi um físico estadunidense. [1] Foi Nobel de Física em 1964, por trabalhos fundamentais no campo da eletrônica quântica, conduzindo à construção de osciladores e amplificadores baseados no princípio dos maser e laser.

Charles Hard Townes (28. července 1915 – 29. ledna 2015) byl americký nositel Nobelovy ceny za fyziku a pedagog.
