Gilbert Ryle (né le 19 août 1900 – mort le 6 octobre 1976), est un philosophe anglais né à Brighton. Il est l'un des plus grands représentants de l'école philosophique d' Oxford . Il est surtout connu pour son œuvre majeure, The Concept of Mind publiée en 1949 et tenue pour l'une des œuvres les plus importantes de la philosophie du langage ordinaire .
