Jean-Michel André Jarre (Lyon, 24 augustus 1948) is een Frans componist en muzikant, gespecialiseerd in het maken van elektronische muziek met behulp van synthesizers. Hij wordt gezien als een van de pioniers van het genre, samen met andere artiesten zoals Tangerine Dream , Vangelis , Kraftwerk , Klaus Schulze , Larry Fast , Kitaro en Isao Tomita .
