16 de sept. de 2022 · Water. English bluebells require ample moisture during their growth period in the winter (in warmer climates) and spring. Water bulbs well after planting. To keep the soil moist, water whenever the top two to four inches of soil feels dry. When growth appears, water only lightly, as overwatering may cause bulb rot.

The bluebells last for just a few weeks so making the most of the bluebell season is essential. There is nothing better than a bluebell walk in an ancient woodland as they start to emerge.
Native bluebells have a strong, sweet scent, which makes the woods smell amazing on a warm day. The Spanish variety has little to no scent. Leaves. Native bluebells have relatively narrow leaves, around 1–1.5cm wide. Spanish and hybrid bluebells tend to have much bigger leaves, around 3cm wide.
