얼마후 1998년 얼렌드와 아이릭은 듀오로써 Kings Of Convenience를 결성하기에 이른다. 2001년엔 첫 번째 정규앨범 Quiet Is The New Loud를 발매. 언더그라운드 팝 음악가들의 운동에 해당 앨범 이름이 사용되고, 투어를 시작하는 등 데뷔부터 큰 성공을 거두게 된다.
