Cynthia Stevenson is an American actress who became popular with her comedy roles in the 1980s and the 1990s. After studying acting in San Francisco and Berkley, Cynthia moved to Los Angeles and soon started performing in local theatres. She was eventually noticed and cast in the sketch TV series ‘Off the Wall’, which was her debut on TV.

She gained recognition for her leading role in the syndicated parody comedy series My Talk Show (1990–91) and went on to star in sitcoms like Bob (CBS, 1992–93), Hope & Gloria (NBC, 1995–96), and Oh Baby (Lifetime, 1998–2000).
Stevenson began her career as a member of the cast of the short-lived syndicated series "Off the Wall" (1986) and in 1989 made two memorable appearances on "Cheers" as Norm's secretary Nancy. She had a potential big break as the star of the syndicated, six-day-a-week spoof "My Talk Show" (1990), in which she entertained less than stellar celebrities in her Midwestern living room.
