Elliott Gould est un acteur et producteur américain, né le 29 août 1938 à Brooklyn . Il est surtout connu pour avoir interprété le capitaine John McIntyre dans le film M*A*S*H et le détective Philip Marlowe dans Le Privé , tous deux réalisés par Robert Altman .
Leben. Elliott Gould wuchs in einer jüdischen Familie in Brooklyn auf. Bereits im Kindesalter spielte er an Vaudeville-Bühnen und im Fernsehen.Er machte seinen Schulabschluss an der Professional Children’s School in Manhattan. Nach seiner Zeit am College gab er 1956 sein Debüt am Broadway in dem Musical Rumple.Danach folgten weitere kleinere Musical-Rollen – wie etwa in Irma La Douce.
