Marc Ribot (pronounced REE-bow) was born in Newark, New Jersey in 1954. È considerato tra i più apprezzati chitarristi di sempre. Nella sua classifica dei migliori chitarristi della storia il critico Piero Scaruffi lo mette al terzo posto, dietro a Jimi Hendrix e a Robert Quine.
