Stuart Fergusson Victor Sutcliffe, detto Stu (Edimburgo, 23 giugno 1940 – Amburgo, 10 aprile 1962), è stato un bassista e pittore britannico. Compagno di accademia di John Lennon , Sutcliffe fu pittore di talento [1] . È ricordato soprattutto per essere stato il bassista dei Beatles dal 1960 al 1961 [2] .

He was the eldest child of teacher Martha 'Millie' Sutcliffe and senior civil servant Charles Sutcliffe. The family moved to Liverpool in 1943 when Charles needed to help with the war effort, and after the end of the war, Charles signed up as a ship's engineer.
