Les Chariots de feu (Chariots of Fire) est un film britannique réalisé par Hugh Hudson et sorti en 1981. Le film s'inspire librement de l'histoire de deux athlètes britanniques concourant aux Jeux olympiques d'été de 1924, Harold Abrahams et Eric Liddell.
Chariots of Fire is een Britse sportfilm uit 1981, met een scenario van Colin Welland en geregisseerd door Hugh Hudson. De film is gebaseerd op een echt gebeurd verhaal van Britse atleten die zich voorbereiden op de Olympische Spelen van 1924.
Synopsis. The movie is based on the true story of two British athletes competing in the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris. Englishman Harold Abrahams (Ben Cross), who is Jewish, overcomes anti-Semitism and class prejudice in order to compete against the "Flying Scotsman", Eric Liddell (Ian Charleson), in the 100 metre race.
