16 de mar. de 2013 · Years later I learned that Todd Rundgren produced 'Remote Control', and in hindsight, I can now hear his heavy influence on nearly every track. If you're a Rundgren fan, 'Remote Control' is like a blend of Todd's melodic sensibilities and his more rocking 1980s Utopia output, as filtered through The Tubes. Highly recommended.

Notes. Originally released on vinyl & tape in 1979. For unknown reasons, alternate mix was used for this CD. There are several mixing differences from other "Remote Control" album. For example, Re Styles sings all verses on "Prime Time" instead of Fee Waybill (except chorus part). This CD might be made from outtake or rough mix tape.

The Tubes are a San Francisco-based rock band.Their self-titled 1975 debut album included the single "White Punks on Dope", while their 1983 single "She's a Beauty" was a top-10 U.S. hit and its music video was frequently played in the early days of MTV.The band also performed in the 1980 film Xanadu, singing the rock portion of the cross-genre song "Dancin'" opposite a big band.
