1969: Volume Two. Las obligaciones contractuales hicieron que Soft Machine se reformase en 1969 (aunque el primer ensayo fue el 21 de diciembre de 1968) con Wyatt, Ratledge y Hugh Hopper, debido a la negativa de Ayers de volver a la banda.
Tracks 14 to 30 originally released as Volume Two in 1969. Issued in a standard jewel case with an 8-page accordion folded booklet. The following two versions are rather similar but this release has 'Made in the EU' on the back of the cover (cf photo). Also different matrix numbers and different SID codes. Volume Two es un LP de The Soft Machine, publicado en 1969. La influencia del jazz se introduce al humor, dadaísmo, y psicodélia del álbum debut. El disco fue inspirado por Absolutely Free de Frank Zappa, y consiste de dos composiciones largas, con "As Long as He Lies Perfectly Still" y "Dedicated to You" sirviendo como interludios.
This compilation ℗ 1989 Ace Records Ltd. Made in West Germany. Tracks 1 to 13 originally released as The Soft Machine in 1968. Tracks 14 to 30 originally released as Volume Two in 1969. No info on the re-mastering, but for both albums, there are considerable differences in the Duration of the tracks compared to the original vinyl albums.
