Since returning in 1995 he’s played on Lucky 13, Come On In, Live At The Palais Royale, I Need A Hat, Can You Hear The Music and Something I’ve Done. He was honoured with the Blues With A Feeling Award in 1993 and has received the Maple Blues Award as Bassist of The Year in 1997, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2005, 2007, 2012 and 2013.
The fund was co–founded by Vasey’s late parents (Dorothy and Ross) and Downchild Blues Band in 1983 to sponsor keyboards students in the Brandon University (alma mater of Vasey) school of music. Each year 2 scholarships in the amount of $2,500.00 have been awarded. The fund has grown to the amount of $80,000.00.

16 de feb. de 2021 · The Downchild Blues Band is a Canadian blues band, formed out of Toronto blues jams at Grossman's Tavern fronted by Donnie Walsh back in 1969. As a friend of Dan Aykroyd's, Donnie Walsh contributed two songs to the Blues Brothers' 'Briefcase Full Of Blues' album in 1978.
