トンプソン・ツインズ（英語: Thompson Twins ）は、イギリスのバンド。 略歴 [ 編集 ] 1977年 、 トム・ベイリー （ 英語版 ） （ボーカル、ベース）を中心に シェフィールド で結成。
Thompson Twins est un groupe new wave britannique formé en 1977 et séparé en 1993. Son nom est une référence aux personnages Dupond et Dupont , de la bande dessinée Les Aventures de Tintin , créés par Hergé qui sont appelés Thomson and Thompson en version anglaise.

Prima di separarsi (all'inizio solo artisticamente, poi anche sentimentalmente), Bailey e la Currie hanno pubblicato anche 2 raccolte: una compilation di remix, nel 1988, The Best of Thompson Twins: Greatest Mixes (contenente il popolare remake della loro prima vera hit, In the Name of Love), e una collection di singoli, nel 1990, intitolata ...
Thompson Twins was een Britse popgroep. De groep werd opgericht in april 1977 en ontbonden in mei 1993. De samenstelling van de groep is gedurende deze jaren steeds weer uitgebreid en veranderd, maar de constante leden waren zanger Tom Bailey en toetseniste Alannah Currie.
16 de abr. de 2022 · Thompson Twins took part in Live Aid when they were joined on stage by a then rising female singer by the name of Madonna. The trio as it had stood for four years was coming to an end and after recording “Nothing In Common” for the soundtrack to the Tom Hanks film of the same name in 1986, Joe Leeway left to pursue “other interests”.
